Oertemis

Oertemis is one of the untimely casualties of the Border Wars, who fell in a battle with the nybbas of the Dark Lands. The red elf had not been part of the Rebels very long - 10 years st most - before being commissioned to join Jellihondor's party to travel northward.

When Oertemis was extended this invitation, he was suprised and gleeful - tales of Jellihondor's bravery and fierceness had heavily influenced his decision to go to war in the first place. Oertmetis also counted it in his good fortune that he had been noticed by Jellihondor at all, since he was a rarity among his kind: shy and self-effacing in almost all respects.

The soft-spoken young elf is missed more than he would have expected by his battalion, who found his quiet, selfless nature endearing. Other races, too, were charmed by Oertemis' humbleness and respect - qualities sometimes lacking in other red elves.
