Nelhoepher and Lem

Nelhoepher and Lem are two of Bertronius's comrades in the Imperial Army from his hometown of the West Fethil. Although they are both slightly older than Bertronius, he recognizes them from West Fethil and is able to strike up a quick and equitable friendship with them based on their mutual lack of experience. Like Bertronius, they have also recently become spies.

Having completed their spy training on the Fethilian front, the pair have been sent to Perejin for their very first official spy mission.

Nelhoepher, a youth of exceptional charisma and good looks, is impossible to ignore. He is brave and brash, with a very high opinion of himself. His understanding of the world, the war, and life in general is best characterized as romantic and highly idealistic. Although he is perhaps not the brightest of lads, things just tend to work out for Nel thanks to his unparalleled good fortune.

Lem is Nelhoepher closest and oldest friend, having both been raised on small farmsteads near West Fethil. Nel's shorter, less visually stunning best friend makes up for his more humble appearance with a disarming affability, and genial disposition that endears him to all he meets. Lem followed Nelhoepher's lead in joining the Imperial Army, hoping to find adventure and love while seeing the Empire.

Nelhoepher looks an awful lot like Jadite from Sailor Moon. Hmm.
