Ekval the Norsan serves as an advisor to Queen Lilhelndine, though what he advises her on and how he got his position is not widely known. However, Ekval does seem to be a fairly high-ranking advisor, since he regularly meets with the Queen alone (a privilege given to only a handful of individuals at any given time).
Like most other blue elves, Ekval is reserved and private, but those who have met him report that he has almost fully assimilated into Elothninian culture: the heritage displayed so clearly by his blue skin is not apparent in his manners, style of dress, and fluent speech. Nevertheless, those around Ekval rarely see past his Vinkenti features. Those at court report he has a polarizing effect on others - some are captivated by his otherworldy appearance, while other are repulsed by it.
